Prague > Mělník
The opening stage of the world’s most extreme rowing race will start in the capital of the Czech Republic by the end of September. The first 53 kilometres will lead to Mělník, a town in Central Bohemian region, which is located at the confluence of the Elbe and Vltava rivers. The dominant of the town is the castle of the same name which was rebuilt several times in gothic, renaissance and baroque style. Other monuments are town hall from the year 1398 and St. Peter and Paul church from the 11th century.
